Concept XVI

Concept XVI incorporates an english milk bottle, whose simple, iconic form fascinated Roger Remaut. He explored them in both paintings and sculptures. In this large painting influenced by Duchamp, a bottle is mounted directly onto the canvas alongside the word “Art”, boldly declaring the bottle itself as art.
