Anti-Matter by Karen Jordan
Archival Pigment Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag
66 x 43.9 cm | 2021
A rather unsettling abstract, something is happening causing the surface to fray and disintegrate from the inside out, while at the same time, expanding and releasing pulses of energy and blue light - eliciting feelings of unease yet fascination as one perceives the dynamic and transformative essence of conflict and resilience.
This is a premium fine art print produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a high-quality paper known for its archival durability. With archival pigment inks, the print is designed to maintain its rich color and integrity for well over a hundred years, ensuring the artwork can be enjoyed for generations.
Behind the Canvas

Karen Jordan is a fine art photographer based in Washington, D.C., whose lens-based work explores the fluid space between abstraction and realism. Her images— described as “constructed abstracts”—are created entirely in-camera, and printed full frame, without cropping. What may at first appear to be a painting or digital montage is, in fact, a faithful photographic rendering of the natural world as she encounters it. Through reflections, textures, color, and form, Jordan transforms ordinary moments into ambiguous, often poetic compositions that challenge our perception of what is real.
