Description
Electroctopus Breathing by Henrique Netto Fused glass with electronic waste 21 x 14 x 3 cm | 2021 Series of experiments with electronic waste fused with glass. The toxic gases expelled by the metals and plastics of electronic components in the burning process reminded me of the Oxygen Catastrophe, which over 2 billion years ago changed the atmosphere and the entire planetary context due to the oxygen emitted by newly emerging plants in their breathing process. Thinking that we are also modifying the atmosphere with the gases expelled in the process of sustaining the cosmopolitan-factory way of life, it occurred to me that Ghana, for example, is one of the countries where the purchase of electronic waste is a great source of revenue. How will the air be in Ghana?
