Created in 1997, this piece reflects a pivotal period in Remaut’s practice, where abstraction becomes increasingly refined and contemplative. The balance between light and dark, surface and structure, gives the composition a quiet yet commanding presence.

This painting was selected for exhibition at the Beecroft Art Gallery (Southend Museums), marking a significant recognition of the artist’s work within a major public institution.
