On 25 September, La Vie Shopping Center in Guarda will host an exhibition of works by Belgian abstract artist Roger Remaut, running for one month.
The exhibition brings together selected works from Remaut’s Form of Figuration period, alongside a selection of previously unseen works on paper dating from the later part of 2020.
The exhibition coincides with Transcendence, Remaut’s new exhibition at Xochi Art Gallery, presenting an entirely new body of work created in Portugal since 2023.
Together, the two exhibitions offer a glimpse into different moments of Remaut’s evolving practice — from the large layered, tactile works of his Belgian period to the more intimate and concentrated works on paper created in Portugal.
