Corporate art commissions for offices
Commission original contemporary art for your organisation in Portugal — from a single statement piece for a Lisbon office to a complete building programme.
The process
How a commission works
From brief to installation, Xochi manages the entire process.
Brief
We begin with your space, timeline, and objectives. Plans, photographs, architectural drawings, or a site visit help us understand the environment and the role the artwork should play.
Artist & concept
We select artists whose practice aligns with your project. Together with the chosen artist, we develop concepts around scale, materials, colour, and visual impact.
Proposal
You receive a structured proposal including concepts, visualisations, scope, timeline, and budget for internal review and approval.
Creating the work
The artist develops the piece while Xochi coordinates production, materials, fabrication requirements, and project milestones.
Installation
We manage professional transport, installation, site coordination, and handover documentation for your facilities team.
Aftercare
We provide care guidance and remain available for future additions, expansions, or further commissions.

Common questions
Straight answers on how commissioning works — before you request a proposal.
How do we choose an artist?
We shortlist based on your space, visual language, scale, and timeline — drawing on artists on xochi.art and further relationships when needed. You can also bring an artist preference; we advise on fit and feasibility.
How long does a commission take?
Most bespoke commissions need 8–20 weeks depending on scale, fabrication, and site access — confirmed in your proposal once the brief is clear.
Can you work with our architect or interior designer?
Yes. We integrate from concept stage — artwork specification, visualisations, revisions, and documentation aligned with your design programme and sign-off process.
What if we prefer leasing or ready collections?
Commissions are for original work made for your brief. If you need faster placement or monthly structure, we can point you to collections and leasing — often alongside a flagship commission.
Prefer leasing or collections?
For monthly structure or ready series — many programmes combine a flagship commission with either.
